Aloha Lovelies,
It took me a long time to realize I’m a procrastinator. Eventually, I did. Now, I’m far better at getting things done.
Except for my projects list. My projects list weighs on my mind, but I still let it pass from one year to the next, rarely addressing even a single item on the list, which includes tasks like:
Updating my will
Getting the ceiling cracks repaired
Upgrading my water system
I tend to put off anything that feels too complex, too overwhelming or too tedious.
Many mornings, I sit at my desk and start writing, which I love to do. When I’m done, I don’t have energy left for projects. On other days, I have appointments, errands, or social commitments. I never make space for projects unless they turn into emergencies.
I've decided to put an end to this one remaining aspect of my procrastination this year. I wrote about my struggles with procrastination in This Is the Year I Will Defeat Procrastination. This decision didn’t come from my careful goal-planning for 2024. One day, I just woke up and decided to stop putting things off in the new year.
I started on January 2 and scheduled a sheetrock person to look at the ceiling cracks and give me an estimate. He starts on the job tomorrow!!!
Since I need to prepare for the repair today, I’ll have to keep this missive short. Thanks for understanding and supporting my “end to procrastination” mission.
Despite the time crunch, I still wanted to share what I’m up to with you.
Maybe there’s something you want to put an end to this year? Maybe you need a gentle nudge! Maybe my spontaneous decision will inspire you to follow along and “Just do it.” (Nike slogan)
Take a moment to consider what you want to put an end to this year. Are you ready to commit? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear from you.

Until Next Time
I’m usually so burned out by Friday, I’m eager to relax on the weekend. I’m glad I got a good night’s sleep last night because I don’t expect it will be easy to relax this weekend during the ceiling repair.
But that’s okay. It’s worth it to get the first big item off my projects list.
Thanks for reading. It means a lot to me!
Much love and best wishes to you.
xo Sandra

Happy New Year! I have SO many small projects that have yet to be started, let alone, completed. I have the “stuff” needed to do them. I picture myself a little old lady who cannot get around anymore, finally completing them 😊🤞
