Even though I went to Catholic school as a child, I never thought of Christmas as a spiritual event. It was all about the ten-foot Christmas tree, the mix of unique and cherished ornaments, and the presents, of course. My family didn’t have oodles of extra money, but Christmas was always made special.
Even now, as an adult, I don’t think of Christmas as a spiritual day because the holiday has been overtaken by consumerism.
No one knows the actual birth date of Jesus Christ. An approximate date was chosen by Christian leaders that coincided with Pagan and Roman celebrations. The church leaders incorporated aspects of Pagan culture into Christmas hoping to entice Pagans to join the flock.
But setting all that aside, I think most of us will agree that Jesus was a sublime spiritual being. In celebration of his birth, whenever it might have been, I’d like to share with you inspiration from the Mother Mary Oracle Guidebook, which represents Jesus in Card 15: Our Lady of the Sacred Son.
“The Christ is the consciousness of love that belongs to every human soul and will awaken in those that are ready to receive it now, through my grace. I ask you to realize that you carry this divine flame of love within.”
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, on this day, take a few moments to reflect on the divine consciousness of love that exists within you. How will you consciously fan that flame to make it brighter and brighter?
This card also speaks of a “healed masculine consciousness” that will come about through “the love and power of the divine feminine awakened.”
The more we respect the divine feminine and allow it to grow within us, the more we’ll make space for a healed masculine consciousness.
“Healed masculine consciousness is what allows us to discern and make choices, and to set boundaries. It allows us to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ based on our own values, which are not blindly adopted from family or society, but distilled from our own innermost feelings and heart wisdom. A healed divine masculine gives us the courage to live our own life and the strength that we need to honor our individuality in making choices that feel truthful for us. It enables us to understand that our divine gift of self is meant to be lived as authentically and honestly as possible.”
I invite you to reflect on the ways in which you manifest the healed divine consciousness in yourself—where it is strong and where it needs to be strengthened.
Are you able to discern and make good choices based on the information you have?
How do you feel about setting boundaries?
Do you operate based on your own innermost feelings and heart wisdom or have you blindly adopted values from family or societal conditioning?
Are you living your own life?
How comfortable do you feel being authentically and honestly you?
Whatever you discover, never be hard on yourself. Accept yourself as you are while you also see areas where you can growth into a truer version of yourself. I’ve grown so much in the last five years, but I’m still working on number five in particular.

Until Next Time
Rain has been continuously pouring out of the sky for the last 24 hours. It’s expected to rain for the next two weeks straight. I’ll definitely be staying indoors, cozying up with my year-end questions for reflection.
I decide to this a day early, imagining there might be a slim chance you have time to read it.
Whatever holidays you observe or don’t observe, I hope the season is bringing you hope, joy, and connectedness. If you’re sad or depressed, I understand. This isn’t the best time for everyone. I send you my love.
Thank you for reading!
Until next time, stay safe, be happy, and let your love flow. Sending you all my love and best wishes.
