What do you want to accomplish before 2024?
It doesn’t have to be a long list of tasks. Getting clear on your priorities for the next three months isn’t necessarily about productivity although it could be. But it can also be about growing personally or spiritually.
Your goal could be developing a certain inner quality like patience, connecting with others in a more heartfelt way, or getting more rest. It can be a mix of practical tasks and heart-based goals. Ideally, it will be whatever feels perfect for you and resonates with your heart not just your “should do” list.
If you were here a year ago, you might remember my reference to entrepreneur Lisa Jacobs who decided to complete 18 goals before 2018. In that e-letter, I shared:
“Jacobs challenged her readers to do the same: Commit to 18 goals and complete them before 2018. You can see her 18 Before 2018 list here along with prompts to help you get started.”
24 before 24 would make for a rather long list, at least for me. But if that idea inspires you and feels manageable, go for it. It could be a mix of larger goals and smaller tasks so you don’t get overwhelmed.
Or you could pick just three main goals—the three most important things you want to accomplish, achieve, or change before 2024. Then break them down into smaller steps and follow the path you’ve set out.
Also get your heart involved with this goal setting exercise. What sparks your heart? What intrigues you? What adventures call to you? Add a little fun into the picture too.
I have a few seriously practical items on my list like getting the crack in my living room ceiling repaired and my gate repainted. But I also want to rest, meditate, and study more. I want to get out in nature too.
Three months is a significant amount of time. If you use it consciously, you can make things happen. And imagine what it will feel like to start 2024 fresh.

My list is very simple, Sandra! I need to find a new exercise system that is easy on my knees and also call the duct cleaning people before winter gets here. Then I feel like I can really clean this house and feel like the dust is just waiting to return. I also have to start cleaning the basement which will be a process, a step-by-step process that I cannot do quickly. That will not be finished by the new year but I can make a start. So, it is a short list but an intense one for me. Thanks for helping me think about these things! <3
