Welcome to Wild Arisings
Hello, and welcome to my island of sanity and serenity.
I’m Sandra Pawula—writer, former mindfulness teacher, and advocate of ease. I’m so glad you’re here.
I created this space for deep-thinking, heart-centered individuals who long for more ease—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Through this newsletter, I share weekly reflections, inspiration, and skillful means to help you:
Quiet your busy mind and settle into presence
Ease your heart by transforming emotional patterns and inner narratives
Cultivate self-love and self-worth
Learn to trust your inner voice, set boundaries, and feel more self-assured
Live with less stress and anxiety—and more spaciousness, presence, and grace
Move through life’s challenges with clarity, courage, and confidence
Be part of creating a more compassionate and balanced world
This is not a quick-fix or feel-good space. My aim is to help you explore the roots of your challenges and reconnect with your essential wisdom. I’ll often ask thoughtful, provocative questions—but we don’t have to be too serious. Let’s bring a sense of joy along on our inner journey.
Let Wild Arisings be your refuge—a peaceful place to return to yourself, find calm in the chaos, and walk the path of inner healing, one step at a time.
Subscribe for free to receive weekly reflections on mindfulness, emotional healing, and living with greater ease. These heartfelt letters and feature articles are designed to nourish your spirit, deepen your self-awareness, and support your journey toward inner peace.

If you’ve found comfort, clarity, or inspiration in my writing, I would be honored to have you as part of my paid circle of support. Your presence here truly matters.
Kind Words from Readers:
"To tell you the truth, I just enjoy everything I get from you—it all seems to originate from who you are and how you see the world, which is with love, and compassion and allowing."
"Your monthly topics make me search deeper in my life and question and observe."
"At times, when I open your email, I feel like you have written to me personally with things true to heart."
About Sandra
I’m Sandra Pawula—writer, former mindfulness teacher, and long-time student of contemplative wisdom and inner transformation.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve studied with some of the most respected spiritual teachers of our time, completed a three-year meditation retreat, and taught courses on mindfulness, loving-kindness, and the fundamental principles of Buddhism.
While my foundation is Buddhist, my writing is meant for anyone seeking greater peace, insight, and emotional clarity—no beliefs required. I often share personal stories, including my own challenges and triumphs, as a way to bring these teachings to life.
My background also includes roles as a nonprofit director, fundraising consultant, and freelance writer. I now write about personal and spiritual growth.
I live a quiet life on the Big Island of Hawai‘i with my beloved cat, Chitta, enjoying nature, good friends, and the slow rhythm of a more mindful life.
My path hasn’t been easy—but it’s been profoundly transformative. Like many of you, I’ve experienced loss, chronic illness, burnout, and trauma. Each challenge has become a teacher, guiding me closer to compassion, resilience, and authenticity.
Through it all, I’ve discovered what I call an inner spring of ease and wisdom—a place within that remains steady, no matter what storms arise. This is the heart of what I hope to share with you through my writing.
I’m not perfect. I’m just like you—with strengths and struggles, learning as I go. But I’ve changed, and so can you. My wish is to offer the reflections, practices, and insights that have helped me, in case they help you too.
Whatever your story, emotional and spiritual ease is within your reach. It is your essence. It is your birthright. And I’m here to walk alongside you.
Wishing you the best, always.
xo Sandra
